Message from the Principal:
Can you believe that January is about to be over? We are half way through 3rd quarter and heavily involved in Middle of the Year Testing. Progress Reports go home Thursday. It is essential that students arrive at school on time each and every day well rested. Please also encourage them to eat breakfast at home or at school. These things are scientifically proven to positively impact academic achievement.
We are very excited for all the growth students are showing on their middle of year assessments. Please talk to your student about applying themselves fully to these assessments. We use the results of these assessments to inform instructional decisions and determine strategies to fill in gaps in needed areas of deficits. Teachers are also working with students to set growth goals for end of the year and make a plan together to reach these goals. It is so important that student see that we are all invested and working together toward their growth and achievement. If you are seeking ways to support and practice important skills with your child at home, please do not hesitate to reach out to your teacher.
This Friday is Class Picture Day. Please also see the other important dates coming up in February below. We are thankful for your support and appreciate your encouragement! We have an amazing school with exceptional opportunities for all students to excel and grow. We are so excited to continue to envision all the ways that Viewmont can continue to transform into the most innovative, effective and enriching learning environment possible allowing all students access to exemplarily 21st century, globally aware, high yield teaching and learning!
